How inFormed Consent handles information collected through this website.
Effective date: July 31, 2026
What this policy covers
This policy describes how inFormed Consent handles information collected through this marketing website, informedconsent.com.
It does not cover the inFormed Consent application used by clinics and health systems to conduct patient consent. That application processes protected health information under separate agreements, including Business Associate Agreements, and is governed by its own terms.
Information you give us
When you request a discovery meeting or ask for materials, we collect what you enter in the form: your name, work email, organization, role, and any message you include.
When you request materials such as the security and compliance dossier, we collect what you enter in the request form so we can respond.
Information collected automatically
Our hosting provider records standard server logs, such as IP address, browser type, and the pages requested, to operate and secure the site.
We store a single preference in your browser to remember your light or dark theme choice. It is not used for advertising and is not shared. We do not use advertising or cross-site tracking cookies.
How we use information
We use what you provide to respond to your inquiry, send materials you request, and follow up about inFormed Consent. We use automatic log data to keep the site reliable and secure.
We do not sell your personal information, and we do not share it for cross-context behavioral advertising.
Who we share it with
We share information only with service providers that help us run the site and respond to you, such as our hosting provider and the service that delivers form submissions to our team. They may process information only on our behalf.
We may disclose information if required by law, or to protect our rights, safety, or property.
Retention and security
We keep inquiry information for as long as needed to respond and maintain our business records, then delete or de-identify it.
We use reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect information. No method of transmission or storage is perfectly secure.
Your choices
You may ask us to access, correct, or delete the personal information you have given us. Depending on where you live, you may have additional rights under laws such as the CCPA or GDPR.
To make a request, contact us at jason@informedconsent.com.
Children
This site is intended for healthcare professionals and organizations. It is not directed to children, and we do not knowingly collect information from them.
Changes
We may update this policy as our practices change. We will revise the effective date when we do.
